Like Blind Guardian, Nightwish, and Sonata Arctica, Valiant leans heavy into progressive metal and sweeping, epic lyrics and highly polished musical productions. Their songs touch on fantasy and mysticism as well as somber and more melancholy faire.

Creation: I wanted my own epic metal band... something progressive and powerful like Nightwish or Blind Guardian; a band that I could write long, powerful songs with grand lyrical content. The band was almost called Winter something... I had Winterthrone and Winterkill floating around in my head, but settled on the more subtle and simple name Valiant.
