Public Drunk

Public Drunk are a southern rock, swamp-metal group featuring ex-High Relief guitarist B.J. Towers. The triple guitar sound and laid back attitude of their music is in the same vein as Molly Hatchet, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Nashville Pussy with flashes of Edgar Winter and The Allman Brothers.

Songs are almost always  in reference to getting laid or getting wasted with the occasional missive about the rock 'n' roll lifestyle and dealing with the insanity of road life.

Bruce Allen - Vocals/Guitar

B.J. Towers - Guitar

Paul Hathaway - Guitar

Tommy Robinson - Drums

Eric Bedford - Bass

Creation: I make no secret that I had a hard, partying adolescent existence. Being a southerner, alcohol binging was almost expected of you on Friday and Saturday nights in the late 80's/early 90's, and I spent my fair share of getting in trouble with the law. Public intoxication, or simply put Public Drunkenness was the most common result among myself and the friends I hung out with. The name Public Drunk is simply a reference to that time.
