Kaya

From the frozen shores of Iceland comes Kaya - a viking barbie with a husky voice and a fist full of steel. 
 

A mix of grungy black metal and british heavy metal with a bit of punk and thrash thrown in, Kaya's music leans toward conflict and just being a plain bad-ass female - a warrior in spirit, body and mind with bits borrowed from Wendy O. Williams and Girlschool.

Creation: I had pitch shifted a heavy Fat Hearse song until it sounded like a female singer just as a lark, playing around with Audacity and the result was good. So good that I invented this gruff female rocker, Kaya. The name was literally the first thing that came to mind when I played the song back.
