​With a rock 'n' roll comedic tone similar to the bands Green Jelly, Crash Test Dummies, Butthole Surfers and The Aquabats, the mocking, tongue in cheek music of Bent Starfish is the musical equivalent of dick and fart jokes.

The subject matter and musical genre of Bent Starfish is limitless, easily shifting from groove metal to punk pop, to a salty lounge act. Songs featuring sexual misadventures, hilarious drug episodes and nonsensical sequiturs feature prominently among their output.

Creation:  Bent Starfish is my attempt at juvenile humor; an outlet for all those silly phrases and idiotic premises that I sometimes conjure up while attempting to write lyrics. It's an outlet for me to be crude and irreverent and like Fat Hearse it was inadvertently named by my seven year old son - for homework he had a list of images and words that he had to match up to one another and read, one of them being a bench and a starfish. In his mumbling seven year old voice I mistook his pronunciation of the two as "Bent Starfish".
